Being organized is about being prepared and ready for the day.
When we’re organized, we do what must be done with cheerfulness and grace.
Organization is not about matching containers with cute labels.
Productivity is not about squeezing the most out of every day.
We get organized and increase our productivity because we want to be good stewards of our time and energy, investing it in people.
We have to remember we’re not machines cranking out widgets and trying to increase our efficiency, judging our success by our output.
Instead, we look at how effective we’re being in the callings God has given us. How are we investing in our relationships, first with God, then with our husband, then with our children, and rippling outward from that central base to the broader community?
How are we exercising responsibility and care with the resources we’ve been given, including our homes, income, land, technology so that they are available for kingdom use?
Fruitfulness, not efficiency, should be our measure.
